“ Driving through on the way home from NOLA and found this gem. The food was amazing. Our server, Aubrey, was adorable. You HAVE to check out the bathrooms. They're very creative. ”

“ What a freaking cool establishment. I was visiting from WPB and we were looking to shoot some 8 ball. Not only did we find a couple of tables we occupied game room for over 3 hours practically alone. Tenders and personal pizza were good for bar food. Service was accommodating considering we were in an area that wasn't quite open. I feel bad for the place only because it was "hopping" like it should have been for a Saturday night...not sure if was a country bar or not had mixed vibes. One thing I will boast is had handsomely cool good ole folk western esthetic and next time I am in state line ill make the haul to J's ”

“ Great place to kick back and relax. They have a huge outdoor deck area, complete with plenty of tables, outdoor bar, restrooms, live music area, TVs and fans to keep you cool. Didn't experience the inside, but through the windows I could see the indoor seating area was a smaller section, and a billiards and game room on the other end. Food was great, service..... Not the best, but definitely not bad, just slow. Will definitely go back again, and recommend if you are in Hattiesburg, close by or passing through, give J's a try. ”

“ I come here every Thursday-Saturday, and I have a great time every time. The atmosphere is always amazing. The pizza and chicken tenders are my go to. The security is on point. “ We got there early and it didn’t take long for the tavern to get busy! Plenty of parking. The bartender was on her game, as she hurried between customers yet still kept me in drinks and food throughout the night.Delicious bar food and great live bands. ”

“ Order takeout of their burger, which comes with two toppings of your choice and aside. The burger was massive and very juicy. The onion rings were a little bit underwhelming, had a weird taste to it. I’d come back. We came out to be about 16 bucks. While I took the food to go, the atmosphere of the place was very nice. ”

“ J’s tavern is the place to be! Great tunes, better dances, good times, & great bartenders (mostly Aubrey). She is hands-down one of the best bartenders out there. Her drinks are so good they should probably come with a warning label. She’s fast, friendly, and somehow keeps the whole bar running smoothly even when it’s absolute chaos. She has great energy, pays attention to everything going on, and makes you feel safe and taken care of while also hyping up the whole vibe. She remembers people’s drink orders, keeps the bar spotless, and makes everyone feel welcome. If she’s working, you already know you’re about to have a good night. ”
